For the Workshop held on October 23, 2014, Lubbock Liberty hosted historian Dr. Robert Tidwell in the Raider Room at Furr's Fresh Buffet.
Dr. Tidwell discusses political progressivism history and gives his perspective of how it has influenced the excessive scope of government today.
After Tidwell's presentation, he took questions and comments from the audience.

About:
Dr. Robert Tidwell earned his undergraduate degree in Political Science (areas of focus: Soviet and Post-Soviet Russia, Cold War, and Asia). His Doctorate is in History with an emphasis on Contemporary US Military History and Diplomacy. As someone who grew-up during the Cold War, he has long had an interest with the Soviet Union and similar totalitarian regimes (namely, how they established and consolidated power in their respective societies). During his university years, Tidwell spent a great deal of time studying various "Progressive" groups and organizations, especially with respect to their associations with the Soviet Union and other Statist movements.
